It’s Halloween! Oh my, this year flew by fast! To celebrate, here’s a creepy-crawly nail art tutorial that I made on BDJBox.com to help you decorate your tips for the occasion. It’s super easy—I promise! Click on the image above to check it out. ♥
I love doing makeovers! It’s my favorite part of my job (okay, there are lots of things I ❤ about my job). But really, seeing women transform and try out different looks is so much fun. I did a lot of these back when I was the beauty editor of Cosmopolitan Philippines. I’ve even ambushed random women at the mall to ask them if they wanted a free Cosmo makeover! That was funny…and kinda awkward. And just so you know, these girls are super brave, because they had no control over what look I would give them. They’d just find out on the day of the shoot—just like in ANTM.
Here are some of the favorite makeovers I’ve done throughout the years:

And, they have such a chic nail art area where you can sit and enjoy having your digits painted. Check it:

Here’s a nifty trick I discovered to help your polish dry in under three minutes:
You’ll Need: Ice, a small bowl, and water
The Technique: Post-polish, fill a bowl with water and ice. Once cold, dunk your wet nails for at least two minutes. The temperature can get a bit uncomfortable, so lift your fingers every 10 to 20 seconds if you can’t stand it.
The Logic: Because nail lacquers harden when exposed to cold temps, this technique will set your mani all the way down to its base coat.
Extra Nail Tip: When I’m at a nail salon and need to leave ASAP, I just ask the technician to fill a soaking bowl with ice cold water from their dispenser. Did this thrice already and it worked every time! Watch the faces of the technicians who aren’t familiar with this nail trick—they’ll go from doubtful to amazed to impressed. So funny! ♥
