Perfect for recharging over the weekend! The Juice Barista Infused Agua, P100 for 250ml.
I’ve been saying that I want to be healthier this year, so I think the Universe heard me! But really, this was such a happy treat because I always look for fun ways to stay hydrated (find out why here).
Can you read what’s in the infused agua? Each bottle contains a mixture of fruit. veggies, lemon or lime, herbs, spices, and an edible flower.
I couldn’t really see the edible blossoms—but I liked that! I don’t know, flowers in food (and drinks) really freak me out. But my personal feelings about that aside, I think P100 for all the fruits infused in the bottle isn’t bad—especially if you think about all the vitamins and antioxidants you’re getting.
You can even “re-use” the fruit and add more water, so you get more bang for your buck.
All you have to do is add more water when you’re half-way through the bottle and leave it for 1-2 hours at room temp. You loose a little more flavor whenever you do this, but it’s still worth doing!
Taste test time! Which one do you think I liked better?

One of the reasons that I think Filipinos look younger than their actual age? The humidity in Manila! As much as we complain about it, I think it can actually be a good thing for our skin in the long run.
And if you live somewhere with dry or cold air all the time, then you may want to get a humidifier like this one from Crane!
I was obviously quite excited to get my hands on this, because I was already in the market for a humidifier—especially after I noticed that my skin felt a bit more dry in the morning. The culprit? Airconditioning! It can zap the moisture from your skin while you sleep.
But if you’re in aircon at the office or constantly traveling, then the Crane Travel Humidifier (P1,899.75) might be a better option for you.
The travel version comes with a USB adapter (so you can use it in the car) and a power cord (so you can park it by your desk). I like that it comes with a travel cup and 3 wick filters also, so you don’t have to worry about replacing it for some time.
They also have cute designs for babies and children (these start at P2,799.75). So many options!
While at the Crane event, I also learned that humidifiers aren’t just for your skin (sorry guys, beauty concerns are always my priority). Apparently, these nifty gadgets can also help loosen nasal congestion, easy dry coughs, relieve flu symptoms, and soothe itchy skin (and dry lips!).
Crane also has stylish designs that are drop-shaped (P2,999.75), so these will look a little more posh in your home.
But this little baby is the one I took home and it fits in this cozy little corner quite nicely. Haha, I guess you can say it’s my room’s new mascot.
Now skin stuff aside, what I really liked about the Crane humidifier is this: it has Clean Control Antimicrobial Material in the base and it’s proven to help reduce up to 99.96% of mold and bacteria growth. Yahoooo, that is music to this (recovering) germa-phobic’s ears!
Thanks for inviting me to this event, Liz! Learn more about Crane PH by visiting their website here.
So what’s the verdict? While a humidifier isn’t really a necessity to most, I like using it because of all the benefits I mentioned above. I use it every other night, but if I’m feeling a bit sick, then I just turn it on around mid-afternoon to help kill all the germs in the air. So far, so good! And the price points aren’t so bad, either. I’d say invest in the travel-sized one first to give it a try. If you notice any improvements in your skin or health, then that’s when you upgrade!

Actually, it was my first spinning class ever. I had no clue what to expect, but I was super excited to try it!
I was invited by celeb makeup artist, Jigs Mayuga, to take a community class at Saddle Row before they officially open. And yay—Alyanna and Jigs’ boyfriend, George, were there, too!
All I can say is that the 45-minute class was a lot of fun! It’s challenging for those who don’t workout (like me!), but it’s something you definitely have to try.
This is the cozy lounge area and the lockers are right across it. They also have a nice shower area, so you can freshen up after class.
After you register, they’ll ask for your shoe size and give you special cycling shoes to wear with clips at the bottom. I loved putting them on, because I felt like I was getting geared up for an adventure!
Cute, right? There are metal clips at the bottom and it kinda feels like you’re walking on uneven ice skates.
Honestly though? I also felt a bit overwhelmed by the experience at first. I’m not super athletic and new situations always make me feel nervous. The venue can be a bit intimidating—especially if you’re surrounded by people who already know their way around. But the Saddle Row crew is very reassuring and they’re happy to guide you through the process, so don’t be shy to ask for help!
Whoa, these aren’t your typical bikes! And btw, isn’t the underground vibe super cool?
When our instructor (hi Topper!) found out that it was my first time, he reassured me that I could do it, and more importantly, that I’d enjoy it. Some classes get competitive and they even post your speed on the wall for everyone to see, but Topper’s class was all about riding to the music and moving to the beat (loved that!).
