Do you ever feel guilty for your beauty buys and splurges? Well, I have some fab news for you! This month, Benefit Cosmetics is donating EVERY SINGLE PESO they earn from their brow services to Mano Amiga Academy.
Mano Amiga Academy is a school that aims to provide a good education to children from low-income families. Photo: instagram.com/manoamigaacademy
What I found interesting about Mano Amiga was that the organization also aims to help their student’s mothers find stable jobs, so that they can perform better at school. It makes sense, right? The more secure the students feel at home, the better they can perform at school.
So what are you waiting for? Head on over to the nearest Benefit Brow Bar! Not only will you get the arch support you need, but you’ll also be helping the Mano Amiga kids get through school.
Of course, I wanted to join in on all the “giving back” fun by doing a little giveaway for you…Jump to the next page to check out the Benefit loot I’m raffling off to one lucky reader! Continue reading →
One of the things I love about Snapchat is that it allows me to spy on Hollywood A-listers and beauty trendsetters. And now that Paris Fashion Week (PFW) is in full swing, I’m watching all the shows and trying to get a glimpse at the latest beauty trends on the runway.
Like how Gigi Hadid rocked glitter brows for the Giambattista Valli show. What do you think, guys? Image via Snapchat/GigiHadid.
Personally, I’m too freaked out by the thought of glitter falling into my precious peepers. So yeah, this is a trend that I’m not too into. But you know what I’m super loving?
This half slick, half wave hair look I spotted on Jen Atkin’s Snapchat! It’s a backstage shot from one of the shows.
I really wish I had the hair length to try this look! For now, I think I’ll have to settle for the slicked back effect (it’ll look good for summer nights at the beach). Oh, and I have a little tip for you: According to former PMAP president, Rissa Mananquil-Trillo, the Bench Fix gel is perfect for that look! It doesn’t flake, offers a long-lasting hold, and it’s cheap, too! Continue reading →
Eeks…don’t kill me, guys. I know I’ve been talking about my YouTube videos being uploaded soon, but I’m still working on creating lots of fun stuff for you. I’ve been watching a few channels and discovered Nikkie Tutorials. She’s the gal behind the Power of Makeup video and I find her super hilarious—especially in this video!
Isn’t she funny? I feel like this is how I would react, like kinda stressed and kinda laughing at myself, if I were to do this challenge (leave a comment if you want me to try it!). My fave part is at the 12:21 mark and she asks for some beauty coaching from her boyfriend off-cam. Totally funny that her “honey” knows what a cupid’s bow is. LOL!
Anywaaaay…While I am gathering my strength to put myself out there and working on creating fun content for you, I do hope you’ll subscribe to my channel by clicking here! It really inspires me to keep going :)
Do you have a fave YouTube beauty gurus? Tell me in the comments section, so I can check out her (or his!) channel, too. ♥
It’s a nice reminder, isn’t it? I always make a “To-Do” list each day, so now, I’m going to make sure that each task on that list also has a “To-Enjoy” counterpart. It doesn’t have to be anything dramatic. Sometimes, a delicious cup of tea or a long, luxurious bath is enough. The point is to fill my day with more things that I find pleasurable.
Do you make To-Do lists? Is it filled with fun stuff or things you don’t really want to do? ♥
So this video from YouTuber, My Pale Skin, has been going viral…
I’m going to be uploading my own YouTube videos soon (subscribe here!), so she’s definitely one of the girls I look up to now. I love that she took control, showed her vulnerability, and proved that you don’t have to be so perfect all the time to be beautiful. I dealt with acne for about a year (and my skin is finally calming down from that), and it was horrible. My breakouts were cystic, and even though they weren’t as severe, my confidence still took quite a hit.
But I’ve learned that it shouldn’t really matter and you have to rock what you got (even if it’s a monstrous zit) and love yourself no matter what.
There are so many issues now about makeup (wearing too much, wearing too little, wearing none at all). When it comes to beauty, you guys know my rule: If it makes you feel good, do it. There are days when I don’t feel like I need makeup to feel beautiful. There are also days when I want to rock a friggin’ smokey eye, y’know. It’s your face, so go ahead and put on whatever makeup look you want—and don’t feel any shame about that.
That said, I do want to thank each and everyone of my readers for all the love and positivity you’ve sent my way!! Seeing things like this really makes me appreciate you all even more. Whenever someone asks me about my readers, I always say that I have the best, the kindest, the smartest, and the sparkliest readers on the Internet. I’m so happy and grateful that you guys are always so supportive and kind. Let’s continue to leave a sparkly beauty trail wherever we go!
