Freebie Friday With SM Beauty

Makeup transformations are always fun, aren’t they? I have Asian eyes, so I always try to make them to look bigger and brighter—and I’m going to teach you one of the simplest techniques I use to do that!

See the subtle difference? This look is actually perfect for the weekends or chill days at the office!

See the difference? This look is actually perfect for the weekends or even chill days at the office! And yup, I’m wearing zero makeup in the photo on the right.

Okay, so the first thing you need to do is prep. For this post, I’m going to use eye makeup can be found at SM Department Stores. They’re having a B-I-G eye makeup sale this month, so you can check out what I used here and see if there’s anything you like..

Makeup from Revlon, Maybelline, Happy Skin, Shiseido, Covergirl, Max Factor, and Essence.

Here are my eye makeup picks from Revlon, Maybelline, Happy Skin, Shiseido, Covergirl, Max Factor, and Essence.

To achieve this look, you have to prep first! The first thing I did was do my brows with the Essence Eyebrow Stylist Set and Happy Skin Eye Love View. After that, I used my fingers to dab a bit of the Maybelline Color Tattoo Cream Eyeshadow over my lids to brighten them up. Then I curled my lashes (used a Shiseido curler) and applied several coats of mascara (Max Factor Masterpiece Glamour Extensions).

Once you’re done with all these steps, then it’s time to tightline!

Step 1: Use your ring finger (it has the lightest touch) to lift your eyelid. You want to see the waterline underneath your upper lid.

Step 2: Use a freshly sharpened eye pencil (I'm using one from Covergirl) to go over the waterline. I use short, back-and-forth motions because it tickles!

It seems kinda freaky, but believe me, it looks really good! It’s a great way to make your lashes look thicker and make it seem as if you’re not wearing thick liner.

It’s good for chinita girls who don’t have even eyes and girls who have bigger eyes because A) the line isn’t as obvious, and B) it makes your lashes look thicker.

Of course, if you want a more dramatic eye transformation, you can use charcoal and silver eyeshadows (like the ones from Revlon) to enhance your smolder. This look is great for a fun night out!

I have the Cover Girl eye pencil but when I tried to sharpen it with an eye pencil sharpener, it didn’t work. Is there a special eye pencil sharper for this?

    • Hmm, I just used a normal sharpener. Unless we bought different pencils. Best to ask the counter girl—she would know better :)
