Over the past week, I noticed that my lips were painfully dry. As in, there were times when I had to stop halfway through a smile or laugh, because I’d feel my lips start to crack. Ouch!
Who knew you that masks for your lips are a thing now? I tend to suffer from dry lips (especially when I don’t drink enough water), so I was pretty excited to try this and see if it works. You just apply it before bed and you’re supposed to wake up to a softer, smoother pout. Another bonus: It also softens any flakes, so you can easily buff them off the next day.
As you can imagine, it smells deliciously fruity and you’re gonna get tempted to keep licking your lips (don’t—it’ll dry ’em out more). I like that the berries were extracted through super-high pressure to preserve their antioxidant properties.
The lip mask soothes your pout immediately, but what I noticed most was that I woke up to (what felt like) plumper lips. I think it’s because it also contains a hyaluronic acid mineral network. This forms a moisturizing film to help the skin absorb and retain your lip hydration through the night.
Of course, this Korean brand also came up with something that’ll make your skin glow the very next day. If you’re a night owl and tend to stay up late, you’ll definitely want to check this out since it makes your skin look like you slept for 8 hours!
I tried the old formula years ago and what I remember the most is that I loved the smell. I’m happy that they kept it because it’s really relaxing and helps prepare my mind for a good night’s rest. After putting the product on my fingertips, I like to take deep breaths and inhale the scent before I apply it on my face.
The Sleeptox technology in this overnight mask works to restore and repair any damage caused by external aggressors while locking in moisture. I tried using it daily, but unfortunately, I broke out after a few days. It’s too rich for my skin, so I just use it once or twice a week—usually on days when I’m more exposed to the sun or pollution since those are the skin issues it’s designed to target.
I would say that the Lip Sleeping Mask is worth it if you have chronic dry lips. The full-sized tub is big, so split it with a friend and just get an extra container (if you can deal with losing out on the packaging). As for the mask? I love the scent and would use this daily if my skin loved it. But alas, it’s not something I can use regularly. So sad because I really woke up to brighter, fresher skin the first time I used it!
