Sunday Sparkle (Late Post!)

I know, I know. I missed my usual Sunday Sparkle post (sorry, guys). It doesn’t feel right to start the week without it, so I’m just going to write a quick one to share one of the best a-ha moments I had last week. And guess what? I learned it from a very adorable toddler!

Just look at this cutie pie! He's the son of my good friend, Frances of Topaz Horizon.

While reading Frances’ post, she talked about how Iñigo was contemplating love (it’s very cute—read it here first if you don’t want spoilers). Basically, this little one began to realize just how intensely he loved his Mama—and then he got a bit worried. “This is a scary feeling. Is there something wrong with me?” Iñigo asked.

Me and this precious little boy back in 2013. I'd like to think that we've got a special bond. Hehe :p

I’d like to think that Iñigo and I are trying to charm one another here! Hehe! This was taken back in 2013, and my gosh, he’s grown up so much since then.

So, guys…As I read about how Iñigo pondered his emotions, the wheels in my head started turning, too. I realized that loving someone with your whole heart really can be quite overwhelming—even for grown-ups! Sometimes, your first reaction is to feel afraid and maybe even hold back a little. And I think that’s why I’m so inspired by this precious (and wise!) little boy. Rather than shy away from what he was feeling, he sat in his Mama’s arms and said, “I’m not scared to love you, Mama. And Papa and Vito and baby. I’m brave. I can do it!” *cries*

So thank you, dear Iñigo, for reminding me that it’s okay to love everyone in your life with your whole heart. Just like you, I’ll be brave, too. ♥
