Review: Perricone MD Skincare (Part 2)

I was starting to panic because my skin was beginning to sag. More than wrinkles, I think it’s sagging that I’m afraid of (I feel like droopy skin makes you look a lot older). So if that’s one of your skin concerns right now, then you should definitely give these skin goodies from Perricone MD a try.

Here's what's part of my current skinroutine! It's simple, but it works.

The major players in my current skin routine! They’re definite must-haves for girls in their early to mid-thirties.

I use the Perricone Neuropeptide Face Activator (P4,850) twice a day. It’s actually my least favorite because it smells kinda fishy. It was quite unusual, so I even dropped by the counter to ask if the smell was normal. When the salesgirls said it was, I sucked it up and continued using it. Good thing, too, because I noticed that it made the night cream a lot more effective. I just dab it over my skin with a cotton square and quickly apply the cream after to camouflage the scent.

Ugh, why do you have to be so stinky? This serum has DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol), a powerful anti-inflammatory that helps tighten muscles.

If I’m running errands or just staying at home, I use the the Perricone MD Face Finishing Moisturizer Tint (P3,450) next. At night, I wash my face again, apply the face activator, and follow it up with the Perricone MD Neuropeptide Night Cream instead.

My day and night skin goodies! I'm so in love with them.

My day and night skin goodies! They’re making me feel youthful again–hehe!

The Moisturizing Tint is oil-free and it really helps your skin feel hydrated. You can use it underneath your foundation or just wear it on its own to warm up your complexion. I like that it has broad spectrum SPF30 to protect you against UV rays and that vitamin C Ester to stimulate collagen and elastin production while brightening your skin.

It also has Unique pigment capsules that slowly release upon application to reveal a warm glow.

It’s basically like a tinted moisturizer, except that I feel like it has more skincare benefits. It doesn’t feel heavy and it didn’t make me breakout. When you leave the house, your face will feel like it has nothing on. But as the day progresses, your complexion will warm up and you’ll get an extremely dewy (or oily-ish) finish.

And it looks like this! If your skin is oily, you might want to layer a matte foundation on top like this one (it's from Perricone also!).

Now for my favorite product: the Perricone Neuropeptide Night Cream (P11,450). OMG, it’s crazy expensive! But honestly? It worked way better than La Mer on my skin (I got a sample about a year ago and ditched it because I didn’t see anything different on my skin). If you’re panicking about aging and only have budget for ONE item, make it this one. I like that the packaging isn’t fancy, so basically, you’re really paying for the ingredients and technology inside the tube. It really helped me reverse the damage on my skin and made my face feel a lot more taut, youthful, and plump—as if I were in my 20s again. The best part? It smells amazing (like fresh and light lavender), so it’s nice to fall asleep to.

It looks thick, but your skin soaks it up right away. I just use a pearl-sized drop over my skin and apply it using circular motions.

I’ve been waking up to gorgeous skin because of it and noticed that it helped lighten my dark spots, too. Here are the miracle ingredients in it:

  • Neuropeptide Oligiopeptide technology with 6 peptides to address severe signs of aging
  • DMAE to firm and tighten skin that has lost its tone and suppleness.
  • Hyaluronic Acid to deliver essential hydration to the skin
  • Shea Butter to hydrate, nourish and soothe skin even more

All I can say is that IT WORKS! In fact, it works so well that I’m thinking of getting the Perricone MD Neuropeptide Eye Cream as soon as I run out of my current one. I just wish it wasn’t so expensive, but I can absolutely vouch that it delivers if you do decide to invest in it (you can read more reviews here—looks like everyone loves it so far!).

What do you think of the skin goodies I talked about from the Perricone MD line? Yay or nay? ♥
