Sparkle Bites: What I Learned From My BioBalance Visit With Hindy Weber

A few months ago, I attended (and co-hosted) an event for BioBalance Institute. I first heard about this place through my friend, Alyanna. She said she was going to the institute to help manage her stress and figure out how to take the right supplements for her body.

I’m normally iffy about places that sell supplements or “wellness” in general because we’re at an age where everyone’s coming up with their own formula. But I actually trust Hindy’s dedication to healthy living (I mean, she did move to the province to grow her own food!) and Alyanna’s recos (seriously, this girl can make me buy anything because it’s usually worth it).

During the intimate event, I got to chat with Hindy and learned so many things about how BioBalance can help you take care of your body. They have several tests you can take to analyze what’s really going on in your body (check them out here), but my favorite would have to be the Nutrient and Metabolic test. It analyzes the specific level of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals in your body (view the detailed list of what they’ll test here—you’ll see why it’s worth it!).

Before BioBalance, I was guilty of self-diagnosing my supplements. When I needed to sleep, I’d take melatonin. Dealing with hair fall? Then load up on Biotin. But guess what? Your body might actually have enough of these nutrients and you just don’t know it! Or maybe, your body just can’t absorb what you’re feeding it either. You can’t really know for sure, so if you feel like you’re doing everything you can health-wise and aren’t getting the results you want, then it may be time to take an actual test. 

Here are a few more things I learned from BioBalance:

1. Not all supplements are equal. Your vitamins need to be in bio-identical, bio-available, and bio-active forms in order for them to be fully absorbed by your body. Otherwise, you’re just paying for very expensive pee! Hehe! I noticed that these are normally details that you won’t normally find on the packaging of vitamin bottles, so I started my vitamins from BioBalance to make sure that I’m getting high quality supplements.

2. Gut health is important. Dr. Stan Chua said that sometimes, the reason you feel depressed or lethargic is because your gut health isn’t balanced. There are many factors that could cause this like your diet or taking antibiotics that may have killed the good bacteria in your stomach. But the bottomline is, having your gut health checked and taking the right probiotics could help you improve your mood, health, and state of mind.

3. Pay attention to your fatigue. The main reason I was so curious about BioBalance and ended up buying the program was because I was so tired of feeling tired. I had zero motivation, I was constantly exhausted even though I slept for 8 hours a day, and I just had no energy to do things. It was very frustrating because I was eating so healthy and I knew my mind was in its best state—yet my body was so heavy and uncooperative. So even though it was scary, I knew that taking a test would be helpful in order to get to the root of my fatigue.

During the event, I realized that Hindy and I actually had similar symptoms—and she was eating her greens more than I was! When she said that she started to have more energy and gained quality sleep after taking the BioBalance supplements, I knew I had to give it a try. It took her about 3 months to see the full results, but she was so happy with it, I decided to hook myself up also.
