This week has been a good one. I’m getting back into the groove of things and I believe it’s because of a the new rituals I’ve added to my day and night routine.
So what’s the notebook for? Well, it’s not exactly a diary, but I do use it to write down my thoughts. In the evening, I use it to acknowledge everything I’m grateful for. At first, I thought it would be difficult or that I would be thankful for the same things over and over again. But as it turns out, there’s always something new or special that happens throughout the course of my day. It’s really amazing when you make time to notice these things!
Now when I wake up the next day, here’s another thing I do…and it has to do with feelings!
It’s similar to praying, but I don’t ask for a specific outcome or help for a certain thing. I ask for help to feel certain things…like to feel loved, to feel accomplished, to feel happy, to feel romanced, to feel safe, to feel successful. That sort-of thing. It became a lot less stressful when I channeled how I wanted to feel vs. channel a specific outcome. This way, there’s enough room for the God & the Universe to work their magic. They always know better anyway!
Of course, there are days when I get lazy or forget–especially when there’s a lot on my to-do list. But I noticed that the busier I am, the more I have to make time for this. It helps me stay more relaxed and at ease. I’m going to commit to doing this for 30 days straight, so I can appreciate what a difference it’ll make in my life. Just thinking about it gets me all giddy and excited for all the fun and happy surprises that are coming my way!
