Christmas is in a few days and I’ve only bought like two presents. I’m obviously a last minute shopper and if your shopping habits are just like mine, then scroll through the list below to check out where you should go for fab beauty finds:

1. Jo Malone

2. Acca Kappa
Why You’ll Like It: The brand is understated, classy, and there’s just an elegance about the craftsmanship of their products. They’ve got stores in Rustan’s and BGC Central, too.

And it's partly because of the new hair tools I'm using: a boar bristle brush from Keratin Complex, my Rowenta 2-in-1 Ceramic Ionic Curling Iron, and a paddle brush from Acca Kappa.

My favorite wooden paddle brush! Click here to read more about my hairstyling secrets.

What To Check Out: Their brushes are fantastic and you’ll feel like a queen whenever you run it through your hair. But my favorite will always be the Muschio Blanco line—I always get compliments whenever I wear this scent!

I'm seriously thinking of getting this for myself, guys. I want the soap and the solid perfume!

3. Burt’s Bees
Why You’ll Like It: If you’re into beauty products that pride themselves in being 99% natural (on average) and environmentally-sustainable, then this is a brand you’ll definitely want to support. Shop over at Beauty Bar, Estancia, or click here if you want to do it online!

What To Check Out: They have lots of affordable holiday kits, but if you’re only shopping for one thing, make sure it’s a lip product. Considering that women reportedly eat about 7 pounds of lipstick in a lifetime, you’ll be glad that you’re ingesting something that’s practically chemical-free.

Fab stocking stuffers for your Kris Kringle baby. The individual lip balms in holiday packaging are only P225 each.

4. The Aivee Clinic
Why You’ll Like It: The reflective crystals and plush interiors in this beauty sanctuary can really help erase all the stress that accumulated throughout 2015. It’s also one of the most trusted derma clinics in town because of their constant innovations in the skin and cosmetic surgery arena.

Here's a peek at the luxurious lobby at the Aivee Clinic Alabang.

Review: K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner in Brown Black

I gave a few products a challenging test-run over my weekend trip to Davao.

Say hi to the silly tourist with the crazy hat! Haha! I tried the K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner in Black Brown, P795.

First up: the K-Palette Real Lasting Eyeliner in Brown Black, P795. P.S. Say hi to the silly tourist with the crazy hat! Haha!

I walked all over the city to visit museums, parks, and the famous Aldevinco Shopping Center (I got my fan hat there). It was crazy hot and I felt like I was melting! By the time I got back to the hotel hours later, I was impressed that the K-Palette liner didn’t smudge at all. I didn’t see any ugly smears around my lids or lower lashline, but I did have to retouch the line because it cracked and faded in some spots.

Compared to regular liquid liners, I think pen-types are the easiest to use.

Here’s a look at the pen liner. It’s very easy to use, and in case it takes you a while to draw a cat eye, you can hold it upside-down without it drying up.

It actually took me a while to review this, because I thought that using a brown-black liner wouldn’t be a big deal. I’ve always used black liner and loved the intensity it gave my tiny eyes (brown doesn’t cut it for me—it just washes out). I gotta say though, I’ve been reaching for this shade more and more these days—especially since I can remove it easily with just soap and water! Hurray for lazy girl beauty ;)

Let’s compare the different liquid liner shades, so you can see why I’m digging this after the jump! Continue reading

This Pimple-Fighting Cream is Awesome!

I usually breakout around that time of the month (hormones, guys) or when I binge on junkfood. Although drinking this has helped lessen skin inflammations significantly, I like using this also.

Yadah Anti Trouble Spot Cream, P250 at Beauty Bar.

I’ve been writing about this Korean brand a lot (their smudge-proof eyeliner is my fave!). I really like that they try to minimize the use of chemicals in their products. Take this pimple-fighting wonder, for example. It’s free from paraben, colorants, and mineral oil.

Lol, I made an "8" accidentally. But when you squeeze it out of the bottle, it comes out this thick.

Lol, I made an “8” ;) When you squeeze it out of the bottle, it’s seems thick and is balm-like in consistency. It’s actually pretty light though!

Once it’s on your skin, it melts and disappears. You can wear it with or without makeup and it won’t be obvious at all. Now for the info you’re really waiting for: Will it clear up your pimple overnight? My answer (and more deets about the product after the jump! Continue reading

Looking For A Shampoo For Colored Hair?

One of the most common mistakes that I see women make after they color their hair: They don’t invest in sulfate-free shampoo. And I get it—nobody wants to spend more after an expensive dye job.

"After leaving the color on the roots for 10 minutes, I comb through to spread it from until the ends," explains Jing. "This allows it to blend beautifully with your old color while removing any rusty tones. The best part? It's less damaging on your strands."

Throwback of me freshening up my color. Read about my dye jobs here and here.

Sulfates have always had a controversial rep as a toxic beauty ingredient and it’s a definite no-no for colored hair because it strips away pigment with each wash. Trust me, guys—you’ll save more money in the long run since you won’t have to keep going back to the salon to refresh a brassy or faded dye job.

Sulfate-free shampoos can get pricey, but I found a budget-friendly and a splurge-worthy pick for you. A girl’s gotta have her options, right? Check them out after the jump!  Continue reading

My New Favorite Eye Pencil!

I love that pencil liners are making a comeback. It’s not about the sharp, defined lines you get from liquid liners anymore. The beauty trend is leaning more towards well-defined eyes with softer outlines. The catch? Finding a budget-friendly pencil that’ll last all day without smudging all over your lids.

But I found one for you! And it's cheap and you can even draw a pretty good cat eye with it. *happy dance*

But I found one for you! It’s cheap and you can even draw a pretty good cat eye with it. P.S. Brows and lips on fleek today—comment if you want to know what I used.

I decided to give it a try because (gasp!) I didn’t have a fresh sharpener anymore. Haha, so I dug around my stash and found this pencil. I was iffy at first, but after reading the name, I had to check if it would live up to its promise!
