What Are You Wearing To The Beach?

Choosing swimsuits has always been a challenge for me. It’s not just about the fit—it also has to make me feel confident and stylish at the same time.

I got to try designing swimsuits at the @CesaPh event. FYI: For me, high-waist bottoms are always the way to go!

But because I’ve been wearing this style for years, I thought I’d switch it up with a cute bikini. Here’s one of my faves from the latest Cesa’s latest summer collection:

Cute, right? It's an off-shoulder bikini, so it won't leave me feeling totally nekkid at the beach.

Let’s face it, though. I’m a beauty girl, so aside from prepping my outfit, I also prep my skin for the beach. How? By doing a full body scrub in the shower! About 2-3 weeks before the getaway, I scrub at least once or twice a week to keep my skin soft. Not only does this get rid of rough spots and flakes, but it also ensures that I score a more even tan!

Cesa also has summer-friendly sugar scrubs and soap on a rope! My fave is the Coffee Biscuit since the scent wakes me up and it has actual coffee granules (Tyra Banks says this can help reduce cellulite!).

It’s Bikini Season!

Are you ready to get waxed?

One of the rooms at their branch in Serendra. Love that it's always so clean!

I head to Strip Serendra for my de-fuzzing needs. It’s pricey, but it’s worth it because they’re strict about double-dipping and make their aestheticians wear gloves. Read more about it here.

Any girl knows that bikini waxes can get crazy painful. The good news is, there are a few precautions you can take (like make sure that you’re not having it done a few days before your period). If you’re planning a beach getaway soon and need to get zip-zipped, read more about my ouch-reducing tips on Cosmo.ph here. They can definitely help!

Have you ever gotten a bikini wax? Where do you have it done? ♥

Most women dread it. It’s uncomfortable, embarrassing, and well, crazy painful! In an interview with Australian radio hosts, the lovely Gwyneth Paltrow even said that “every time I have a bikini wax, Cameron Diaz holds me down.”

The famous dress that got the whole debate started. According to GP, her team had to scramble for a razor right before she hit the red carpet.

Because it’s bikini season and Laboracay is around the corner, I highly recommend that you suck it up and treat your V-zone to a good ol’ waxing. In fact, missy, I dare you to get a Brazilian and have it all taken off. Interested? I found that the one place in town that won’t leave you howling in pain: Strip! The Ministry Of Waxing.

Read my review about Strip! and find out what I’m giving away for the month of May inside. It’ll definitely make your bikini waxes a whole lot…cooler! Continue reading
