Finally got to see the BenCab Museum yesterday! I could stay here for days :)
The weather is perfect—cloudy with light drizzles and cool enough to shrug a jacket over your shoulders. It was just the getaway I needed and it gave me a chance to bring a few (okay, a lot) of new products to try!
My top 3 picks! And also, working from Hill Station today (had a yummy breakfast here and decided to camp out for a bit).
I’m seriously thinking of staying here for a few weeks. So much fun to write when this is your view (and you have excellent WiFi). But before I start rambling about how much I heart Baguio, let me get back to my Top 3 beauty picks for this trip. Continue reading →
Pink cheeks, pink blush! I liked my glow so much today, so I had to write a quick post about this blush.
I wish I could give you a better photo of my cheeks, but this was just a quick snap before I left for work. I was really sick over the past few days (that’s why I wasn’t able to post so much—sorry!), so I’m really liking how this blush made me look more…alive! Haha!
I used the Clinique Sculptionary Cheek Contouring Palette, P1,900. P.S. For a cleaner shot of the palette and a review of the lippie I’m using, click here to check them out.
So tri-color blushes are huge right now and I’m seeing them pop up all over (I used another one from ArtDeco here). Thanks to the Kardashians, beauty girls know now how contouring can change the way you look. But because not everyone goes around with a lighting and camera crew, brands have found a way to make shading look a little more natural with these types of blushes.
I’ve got a quickie review that I promised for you! Been using the Clinique Pop Lip Colour + Primer over the past week and I think it might turn into one of the staples in my makeup bag.
Clinique Pop of Colour + Primer in Sweet Pop 09 (P1,100) and Long Last Glosswear in Kissyfit (P920). Also in the photo: the Sculptionary Cheek Contouring Palette, which I reviewed here!
Let’s talk about the Pop of Colour lipstick first. I tried it on without reading anything about it, so I can just see how it pans out. At first, I was worried the baby pink shade would be too light once I placed it on my lips or wouldn’t flatter me. But surprisingly, it stayed true to its name by giving me the right “pop” of color I needed to brighten up my face. It’s not too vivid (so it’s safe for work) and it wasn’t too nude (read: boring). I was happy that it felt weightless on my lips and didn’t have a scent. The best part is, I didn’t need to prep my lips with balm at all and my pout stayed moisturized even as I reapplied. As for lasting power, I’d say it was good for about 4 hours and you’ll definitely have to reapply after you eat.
Swiping time! The lipstick in the middle, the gloss on top, and lippie + gloss layered at the bottom.
As you can see, the lipstick has a demi-matte finish. Good for normal days, but of course, I always want a little extra sparkle. The shimmer in the gloss helped lighten up the shade a bit add a sexy shine. I don’t know about its long-lasting power though. It didn’t seem that extraordinary to me and I would have to reapply after 4 hours also (it promises up to 8). It doesn’t feel as sticky—although the shades without shimmer might be heavier—and it’s non-drying also.
