Get Lippie Tuesday: Make Up For Ever Artist Plexi-Gloss

I like matching my outfits to my makeup—not the other way around! I’m not really a fashion girl, so this helps me get a little more excited about picking out what clothes to wear.

It's errand day, so I just wanted something casual with fun pops of color. As for my glasses? They're for my feeling hipster days—I don't really need ’em. Hehe!

It’s errand day, so I just wanted something casual with fun pops of color. As for my glasses? I don’t really need ’em—they’re just for my “feeling hipster” days. Hehe!

I had fun playing around with the Make Up For Ever (MUFE) Artist Plexi-Gloss today. What I liked about the samples that were sent my way is that I had one with a pearl finish (the light beige shade) and one without (the orange shade). But what I really loved was the wand!

It has a split-tip, so you get the perfect amount of gloss with each swipe.

The MUFE Artist Plexi-Gloss has a split-tip applicator, so you get the perfect amount of gloss with each swipe.

Compared to the usual doe-foot wand, I found this had a lot more grip in the sponge. It was flexible, so it was able to hug my lips as I swept it over each curve. I liked that I got more precision and that I didn’t waste a lot of product or have to blot any excess gloss off. If you have thicker lips like mine, you may need to dip the wand into the tube twice to pickup more gloss—once for your upper lip and once again for your lower lip—for full coverage. If you’re just using it to highlight the center of your pout, then there’s no need to double dip.

Take a closer look at the colors and find out if I think it’s worth your moolah after the jump! Continue reading

In honor of The Great Pumpkin…

Boo!

Boo! I’m a mutated Cheshire Cat-slash-Zombie Vampire!

And here's my drawing board!

And here’s my drawing board! Follow this to draw Cheshire Cat Lips. You can actually extend it more, but I didn’t want to risk getting a pimple by drawing over my cheeks.

After figuring out the lips, I was surprised at how easy it was to do! And because I didn’t want to spend just for this occassion, all the materials I used were pretty much in my makeup kit! More details and photos about this Halloween after the jump! Continue reading
