My skin’s been a bit lackluster lately—probably due to all the sugary snacks I’ve been munching on and lack of sleep. But I discovered an awesome beauty hack to fix that problem!

Can you tell I'm running on four hours of sleep?

Can you tell I’m running on four hours of sleep?

I was surprised that so many people said I looked fresh the day I took the photo (if they only knew—hehe!). But the kind compliments confirmed that my foundation trick worked, so natch, I had to share the makeup hack with you guys! More about it after the jump! Continue reading

Insta-Fresh Makeup Trick

Been sleeping late or partying hard over the weekend? Or are you just getting off a long-haul flight? Then you’re going to want to try this celeb-approved eye makeup trick: use a peach-based eye correcting concealer!

While hanging out with my friend, Alyanna, she said dark circles were plaguing her right now. So I brought her to the Shiseido counter and showed her my latest makeup fix for this problem.

It's the Shiseido Sheer Eye Zone Corrector! I actually wrote about this recently—you can check it out here.

It’s the Shiseido Sheer Eye Zone Corrector in 106 Warm Beige. I actually wrote about this recently, but in a different shade. Check it out here for more natural makeup tips.

If you're dealing with really dark, purplish circles, you need to apply an orangey, peach-shade corrector before your concealer. This way, it can cover up any shadows easily without leaving a gray cast.

While at the Shiseido counter, Alyanna shared her cool beauty trick to looking more wide-eyed and awake. I’ve actually tried the trick before, but I could never pull it off because I was using the wrong eye pencil and the wrong color. Good thing she schooled me! Find out what her eye-catching trick is (it’s reportedly Jessica Simpson’s beauty move also) after the jump! Continue reading

3 Ways To Look Gorgeous On A Monday

Ahh, Mondays…

Yep.

Yep.

Here are my three techniques to making sure I look better than I feel when I’ve got a busy work week ahead:

1. Slick On A Glossy, Bright Lippy. We’re calling in the big guns here. It’s not just a vivid colored lipstick—it’s an extra glossy one also. The added shine on my pout always makes me feel a little brighter and shinier inside and out. Check out my latest picks here from Happy Skin.

2. Sweep On Mascara + Blush. When I feel sleepy and kinda blah, I open my eyes with a mascara that holds a killer curl (like Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara, P595 at Watsons). As for blush, a peachy one adds a nice warm, glow to my lackluster complexion. Freshness (hopefully) achieved! P.S. Define your brows also if you have time!

3. Pull My Hair Back. I just want it away from my face on days like this. This way, I won’t get annoyed or feel bothered by all the wisps I have to keep brushing back. ’Dos to try: A power ponytail or a cool head wrap. My personal pick is a rockin’ hairline braid, though. It’s been my go-to style pick recently.

What are you tricks to looking fab on a Monday? Share ’em with me, please! ♥
