4 Things I’m Digging Right Now

Here are a few things that are getting me all excited and sparkly this week:

1. The Yadah Skincare Line!

I'm enjoying adding more steps to my skin routine with this Korean brand.

I’m enjoying adding more steps to my skin routine with this Korean brand. Check it out at local Beauty Bar outlets (they have lots of cute makeup goodies, too).

I’ve been using this for a few days now and it’s really calming down PMS-induced breakouts. I like that it’s made for acne-prone skin and it’s spiked with lots of antioxidants. The best part? They use as little chemicals as possible (yay!), so you won’t find controversial beauty ingredients like paraben and mineral oil.

2. Katy Perry’s Makeup Look!

It's obviously photoshopped, but I'm liking the play on color here.

My ophthalmologist told me not to wear eye makeup for a week, so I’m kinda going through withdrawal. I want to get my Katy Perry on and try this liner look that will help you emulate a Versace babe.

3. Freebie Friday!

Watch out for an exciting giveaway this week!!

4. My YouTube Video!

It's almost d-o-n-e!!!

Oh my, what a labor of love this has been—and mostly by my brother! Hehe! He’s been helping me with my YouTube videos and I’ve been bugging him to finish editing it. It’s almost done and I can’t wait to share it with you guys soon!

What are you excited about this week? Tell me, tell me! ♥

5 Foundation Techniques From MAC’s Gregory Arlt

Lucky me got to sit-in on a MAC technique class a few months ago. Celebrity makeup artist, Gregory Arlt, shared a lot of get-pretty tips and it’s made a world of difference in the way I do my makeup now.

Gregory kept all the beauty bloggers entertained with his witty commentary and fab makeup tips.

This makeup master has been with MAC for over 20 years and is currently the brand’s director of makeup artistry. He’s a veteran at creating red carpet looks and has worked with A-list stars like Katy Perry and Victoria Beckham. Check out some of his other celeb clients here:

During Gregory’s class, I was more fascinated with his foundation techniques and how he got the model’s skin to glow. After years of using BB creams, I’m back to using regular foundation (see why here). I didn’t realize I was in dire need of a refresher course when it comes to applying my base.

Look at how radiant her skin is! More pics inside!

When I saw how radiant the model’s skin became, it really made me sit up and pay attention. Love how it looks like she’s wearing practically no foundation! More pics inside!
