Have you heard of this trend yet? Non-touring is a more natural and subtle way to sculpt your face (because apparently, people are sooo over contouring now). Basically, it’s like a no makeup look that’s spiked with some major highlighting. Here’s my take on it:
I super love this trend, and apparently, it’s a fave look of Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid! I really like how it adds more dimension to my face in photos and that it’s pretty glam without being too cray, you know? After reviewing several colors from the Kylie Lip Kit line (read it here), I knew I had to get my very own tube from Ms. Jenner. After all, it’s the hottest beauty buy all over the world now!
It’s here! I ordered mine from @duckfaceph on Instagram.
She came highly recommended by fellow lipstick addict and Cosmo.ph’s resident beauty girl, Retty. I usually prefer to buy from the source, but given the frenzy, I decided to just order from a local reseller.
The infamous box with her trademark lip drips. I was so excited to see what’s inside!
The box flips open at the top and her official website is stamped on the flap.
And voilà! A postcard from King Kylie with a note on the back that says…
Love it! And I loved getting a peek at her handwriting, too.
So now that I’ve literally shown you my unboxing, can you guess what I ordered? There’s a clue in the previous sentence I just typed! Hehe! And there was something pretty controversial about its packaging, too. Find out what it is (and see if I got a bum order) after the jump! Continue reading →
Oh boy! Summer is in full swing, guys. Can you believe that the temperature was 93ºF today and might even reach 97ºF on Sunday? #melting
That’s why I’ve been testing a few new products to see if they’ll help me stay fresh and pimple-free even though the weather is crazy hot.
I’ve been using these for about two weeks now, and so far, I’ve been happy with the results. If you’re looking for beauty ideas and insights on how you can beat the heat this summer, keep reading! I’ll tell you how the products above (from Jane Iredale, NARS, Happy Skin, Elizabeth Arden, Shu Uemura, and ArtDeco) are helping me beat the heat. Continue reading →
“The colors look very fresh and pretty because of the soft shades like rose, apricot, and mint,” share François Nars. I didn’t get a sample of the mint, but it is a pretty dominant shade in their campaign.
Do you see thee mint on the lids of NARS muse, Mariacarla Boscono? I actually like it!
There are bolder shades in the collection, like midnight blue and warm red, but I’ve been digging natural-toned shadows lately. Shall we explore them? A closer look + smudges after the jump! Continue reading →
Yesterday, Skin Matters hosted an intimate event for our friends in the media. We spent the whole day at Todd English Hall just gabbing about all the fun stuff you can find at Skin Matters (you’ll love the Ask A Derma Feature—click here to see it!).
Say hi to the team! That’s Bench, Lauren, Agoo, Maui, and Jules.
Because I was giving a presentation and had to look my best as I mingled, they hooked me up with MAC Philippines affiliate makeup artist, Anthea Bueno. I’ve been dying to work with her, so I was super excited to check out her skills!
Anthea setting up! You can take a closer look at all her brushes on my IG account here.
I loved that she’s super OC (that earns big points for me). She used spatulas to mix foundations, wiped scissors down with alcohol to cut my falsies, and she didn’t mind when I asked if I could use my own lipstick.
I tried the Ofra Lipstick in Spicy and Ofra Lip Gloss in Laguna Beach. It’s on sale at Calyxta.com for P1,080 for the bundle!
The charm about Ofra lipsticks is that it pairs the lipstick + gloss for you, so you get the perfect combo. Here’s what it looks like on me:
Under Anthea’s makeup lights! I know we’re talking lipstick here, but how flawless did she make my skin?!
Ofra lippies are great (and cheap!), so you can use play around with them without breaking the bank. They’re actually a nice way to try the 90s lip trend, since the brownish have a hint of pink (read: you won’t look too washed out).
More photos, swatches, and a Kylie Jenner lipstick dupe from Ofra after the jump! Continue reading →
