Sparkle TV: Day To Night Makeup Looks (And Another Happy Skin Giveaway!)

Yay, I finally have a new video up! I shared some of my #lazygirlbeauty hacks here, so watch and let me know what you think :)

I make a lot of last-minute plans, so these little tricks always make me feel more put-together and confident enough for a random adventure. If you liked the video, I hope you’ll support my new baby by subscribing to my channel (click here!) and as a special treat…

Here's what it looks like when you open it. I have to admit, the shades just seemed okay at first. Nothing too exciting.

I’m giving THREE of my sparkly subscribers a chance to bring home the “How To Conquer The World” set from Happy Skin! It has both the lippies I used in the video (my detailed review here).

#GetLippieTuesday

Remember my US Beauty Haul video?

Well, I finally tried the Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Lipstick in Spiderweb, US$18! As I mentioned in the video, I got it because I wanted to cop Gwen’s signature, vivid red pout.

Yup, that's the color I'm looking for! Her signature red.

I didn’t get to see it in person, so I was super hoping that I made the right choice and that it’ll look great on my skintone.

Saw this on Mariel's IG and the shades (listed in the photo's comments) are so pretty! Want, want, want!

I actually posted about lusting for Gwen’s lippie collection here. So I did a lot of IG stalking and debated between getting Spiderweb and 714.

Obviously, you know I went with this choice.

But the real question now is, did it give me the va-va-voom red that I’m looking for? Find out after the jump! Continue reading

#GetLippieTuesday

I’m loving this violet lippie! It’s such a nice change from my usual pinks and reds.

It was my go-to lipstick while I was in Baguio recently.

And here's what it looks like on me!

And I also used it here!

Do you like it also? It’s the Clinique Pop Lip Color + Primer in Grape Pop (click here to see the tube). I love the creamy, rich color (one swipe will do!). There’s also a subtle shine to it, and it doesn’t dry out my lips at all. It claims to last for up to eight hours, but I think you’ll have to reapply after 2-3 hours. Oh, and did I mention it’s also fragrance-free? Win!  Continue reading

#GetLippieTuesday

I have a lot of new lippies to review and couldn’t decide which one to write about first. So I asked the gals on my personal and public Facebook page (follow me here!) which brand they wanted me to feature and Maybelline got the most votes! Why? A lot of women (like me, lol) are looking for budget-friendly makeup finds!

The Maybelline Vivid Matte Lipstick, P299 each.

Here’s the reader’s pick for today’s #GetLippieTuesday review: Maybelline Vivid Matte Lipstick, P299 each.

Based on the sheer number of Maybelline posts on my blog, you can tell that it’s my favorite drugstore brand. That’s why I was worried when they released a matte line. Would it look chalky? Would a matte lippie this cheap make my pout crack and suffer? Would it disappoint?

Here's what the packaging looks like. Not too fancy or exciting to whip out, but the matte cap is a nice touch.

Find out if these Maybelline matte lippies are any good (or if they made me change my mind about it being my favorite drugstore brand) after the jump! Continue reading
