Yay, I finally have a new video up! I shared some of my #lazygirlbeauty hacks here, so watch and let me know what you think :)
I make a lot of last-minute plans, so these little tricks always make me feel more put-together and confident enough for a random adventure. If you liked the video, I hope you’ll support my new baby by subscribing to my channel (click here!) and as a special treat…
I’m giving THREE of my sparkly subscribers a chance to bring home the “How To Conquer The World” set from Happy Skin! It has both the lippies I used in the video (my detailed review here).
Check out one of the latest lippies from Stila’s Spring 2016 collection!
It’s the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Bacca! Click here to see the other shades from their Spring collection—they have 5 including this one!
The color is gorgeous! I’m a sucker for bolder lip shades, so I’ve been using it almost every day now. It says it’s similar to raspberry on their website, but to me, it actually looks more like a deep, cranberry red. What do you think?
This creamy matte can last up to 6 hours and it feels pretty light on your lips. Win!
Because it’s long-lasting, you will need to use a good makeup remover to get it all off at the end of the day. But other than that, you’ll be happy to know that you can wear this without prepping your pout with lip balm without drying it out (its formula has moisturizing avocado oil and vitamin E). The color is also über rich if you apply a full coat, but I actually like wearing it as a stain for a sexy, just-kissed effect.
Just dab a bit of color on your ring finger and then press it into your lips. I’m also wearing it here if you want to see another pic.
You do have to be careful when applying it to make sure that it doesn’t go past your lip line (just use a brush for precision). I really like using this lippie on days when I have lots of meetings and can’t be bothered with retouching. And honestly, guys? I’d say this is waaaaay more worth it than the Kylie Lip Kits if you want a matte, liquid lipstick that you won’t get tired of. It may not be as exciting or hyped up, but trust me, you’ll use this (and end up loving it) more in the long run. Haha, kinda like the good guy you should date :p

Happy Skin finally has its very own boutiques in Glorietta 3 and it’s just so pretty!
Sigh. I kinda wish this was the entrance to my boudoir.
It’s got lots of spots that are perfect for selfies—that’s a must when you’re trying on new makeup!
So basically, you won’t really want to leave until you’ve taken IG-worthy photos and played around with all their products. Hehe!
My favorite little nook is the corner on the far left (where the mirror is). It’s like a little bar where you can sit down and get a “Lips-spection.”
Look for this clipboard! You can take a fun quiz and discover the best lippie for you—fun!
While at the store, I also got to take a look at their 2015 holiday collection. Happy Skin always has fab sets packaged beautifully, so I was excited to see what they’d come up with this year.
Ugh, cutesy book sets with makeup inside! How can you resist this??
This set comes with two lippies from the Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Power Pout Moisturizing Lip Lacquer line. You guys have to see the colors—they’re actually better on your lips than in the tube! Check them out and see what it looks like on me after the jump! Continue reading →
When you work with the best team, you forget that it’s work! It’s so fun, but I’ve been so busy that I haven’t had time to blog. I’m sooooo sorry!
I’m hoping that things will lighten up soon, but the last quarter of the year is usually the busiest for editors. But enough about that! Let’s talk about the lipstick I wore at the event instead—it’s way more important! LOL!
Anthea Bueno did my makeup again and I took this pic at like 11 p.m. It lasted the whole day!
I actually wanted to wear a red lip with this, but Anthea stopped me. The event was about skin, so I had to let that shine through since my eyes were pretty smokey already. So, we stuck with this fab Laura Mercier pick and I got lots of compliments from it.
When I got home, however, it was a different story! Haha, I really feel better with a stronger lip color.
I played around with another find from Ofra. I’m really starting to get this whole obsession with the brown lips trend. Either that, or I’m really trying to find one that I super love. This one came off a bit stronger and darker than I thought, but I kinda liked it. Do you?
Check out the lippie and the other gloss I paired it with after the jump! Continue reading →
