I am obsessed with everything from Perricone MD. Their skincare delivers fantastic results (even though it may not smell so good—read about it here), and now, their “no makeup” makeup line is becoming something I constantly use.
These have earned a spot on my vanity table and in my travel kit!
My ultimate favorite will always be Perricone MD’s No Foundation Serum (find out why here!). If you’re just starting out and want to invest, this one’s a must. But if you’re already hooked and want to explore more from the line, here’s what I have to say about these three products. Continue reading →
I’ve been playing around with a cleaner, more minimalist makeup style. I’m thinking it’ll be good for gals who need to look fresh and put-together at the office or just want to look gorgeous for their weekend dates ;)
What do you think? Full disclosure: I’m running on about five hours of sleep here!
I mixed my favorite Maybelline foundation with the Kate Makeup Lock Primer, P550. It’s great for brightening up tired-looking skin and it gives you a powdery, oil-free finish.
Here’s a look at everything I used on my face from Japanese brands Kate and Lunasol. Let’s review them all, shall we?
I think the crucial element to this look would be the Lunasol Skin Modeling Eyes Kit, P3,000. It’s a limited edition set that comes with an eyeshadow palette, shiny pencil eyeliner, and peach-toned treatment gloss.
Nice, right? Very subtle, but it does pack some oomph. I blended all the shadows + used the eyeliner here.
I loved the colors and I was really surprised that it translated well on my lids. Browns always surprise me, to be honest. They really help you look more awake and put-together.
Swatched! You can’t tell so much, but the darker shadow has a lot of little, glittery flecks.
I have to warn you that you will definitely need to use these eyeshadows with a primer to make them last all day. There’s a lot of fallout (especially glitter-wise), but it can be managed if you prep your lids with a good primer and don’t go too crazy when you load your brush.
And this is the set. It’s pricey though, but super nice beige and champagne shades for Pinays. If you want to know which Kate product I used for my brows, click here!
I think what I should really credit for my fresher than fresh look is the blush. That pop of color on my cheeks was just amazing and it really brightened up my face. The exact shades, swatches, and more budget-friendly eyeshadow palette options from Kate Tokyo after the jump! Continue reading →
I got an exclusive peek at the Perricone MD No Makeup Skincare line!
Perricone’s European Training Manager, Emina, dished on what makes this line special and showed us how to create custom shades with the makeup.
I haven’t had this much fun at a beauty event in a while—probably because we were talking about makeup that’s actually good for your skin. I’ve been a fan of Perricone since my Cosmo days, so I knew these products would be good. Let’s take a closer look at them, shall we?
First up: The Perricone MD No Foundation Foundation Serum, P2,750. I like that it comes with a dropper for mess-free application.
This treatment foundation has a matte, velvety finish and it’s formulated with Neuropeptides (molecules that help boost suppleness and firmness of your skin). “It’s almost like an Instagram filter,” explains Emina. It only comes in one shade, but it can adjust to your skintone—just like BB creams.
Up next: the Perricone No Bronzer Bronzer and No Blush Blush, P1,750 each.
I love that you can mix these two together to create new shades for your cheeks. You can, of course, wear them alone also. The blush gives you a healthy-looking flush and it’s spiked with DMAE (an ingredient that helps prevent and correct the loss of skin elasticity). The bronzer, on the other hand, has vitamin C Ester (to smoothen skin and boost collagen) and the shade is great for soft contouring, too!
Look at me so happy that someone is doing my hair! Haha! After playing around with the products, we got to do a fun shoot also.
I don’t have a copy of my photo from the event yet, so I took a selfie using the products. See what it looks like on me (and check out more smudges) after the jump! Continue reading →
It’s here, it’s here! And I’m finally ready to show it to you guys :) Hit play to watch!
Gosh, I really hope you like my sparkly channel! Shooting YouTube videos is a lot harder than I thought (so much footage for a blooper reel—hehe!), but it’s also a lot of fun. I can’t wait to share more videos with you soon and don’t forget to tell me what kind of tutorials you want next! With a little luck, I’ll be uploading new videos every Wednesday, so make sure you subscribe here for updates.
I also have to thank a few peeps for their love and support! I really wouldn’t have been able to do this without them :)
RG–My dear baby brother. I know it wasn’t easy for you to shoot and edit, but I’m so happy we got to work together. ILY :)
Paulo–Excited for what’s to come and thank you also for being a part of this! You work so fast!
Kat–My first critic! Heehee, love ya!
Stephie–Thank you for helping me with the finishing touches and for the much-needed confidence boost! You’re the sweetest :)
That’s it! I really hope you guys liked the video and please give me a thumbs-up if you do. Hehe, it’ll give me inspo to make more! ♥
The ensemble? All white, of course! P.S. Bought my dress from @veranoph in case you like off-shoulder stuff as much as I do :)
I’ve been in the beauty industry for years and I still enjoy listening to tips from more experts. There’s always something to learn!
Celeb makeup artist, Jigs Mayuga shared his fab BB cream tips. And on the far left is beauty guru, Agoo Bengzon. She talked about her 3 skincare basics (cleanse, moisturize, and protect).
Now when it comes to makeup, they also talked about how the “No Makeup Look” trend is here to stay. The real trick to pulling it off? You have to take care of your skin.
And that’s where this gorgeous kit comes in! It was filled with all the skincare and makeup basics you’ll need from Pond’s and Happy Skin!
What really got everyone excited was when they announced that Pond’s and Happy Skin Cosmetics are collaborating! For every P700 purchase of Pond’s products at Watson’s, you get a FREE mini lipstick from Happy Skin—and it’s really super cute, you guys. Want to see what it looks like? Let’s do some IG stalking!
Ooh…cute, right? I love small lipsticks (I don’t like carrying bags so much), so I can just stuff this in my pockets. Follow @PondsPh on Twitter for more deets!
I’m a fan of the Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me line (reviews here and here), and really, their shades flatter Pinay skintones so well. I heard that some hardcore fans and beauty girls even collect all the Happy Skin lippie shades. So…in case you’re one of them, get ready to shop because Happy Skin created a new and exclusive shade just for Pond’s! It’s totally perfect for the #NoMakeup look, too.
