Review: Perricone MD “No Makeup” Makeup Line

I am obsessed with everything from Perricone MD. Their skincare delivers fantastic results (even though it may not smell so good—read about it here), and now, their “no makeup” makeup line is becoming something I constantly use.

These have earned a spot on my vanity table and in my travel kit!

These have earned a spot on my vanity table and in my travel kit!

My ultimate favorite will always be Perricone MD’s No Foundation Serum (find out why here!). If you’re just starting out and want to invest, this one’s a must. But if you’re already hooked and want to explore more from the line, here’s what I have to say about these three products.  Continue reading

Review: Perricone MD No Makeup Skincare (Part 1)

I got an exclusive peek at the Perricone MD No Makeup Skincare line!

Perricone's European Training Manager, Emina, dished on what makes this line special and how we can play artist.

I haven’t had this much fun at a beauty event in a while—probably because we were talking about makeup that’s actually good for your skin. I’ve been a fan of Perricone since my Cosmo days, so I knew these products would be good. Let’s take a closer look at them, shall we?

First up: The Perricone MD No Foundation Foundation Serum, P2,750.

First up: The Perricone MD No Foundation Foundation Serum, P2,750. I like that it comes with a dropper for mess-free application.

This treatment foundation has a matte, velvety finish and it’s formulated with Neuropeptides (molecules that help boost suppleness and firmness of your skin). “It’s almost like an Instagram filter,” explains Emina. It only comes in one shade, but it can adjust to your skintone—just like BB creams.

Next is the Perricone No Bronzer Bronzer and No Blush Blush, P1,750 each.

Up next: the Perricone No Bronzer Bronzer and No Blush Blush, P1,750 each.

I love that you can mix these two together to create new shades for your cheeks. You can, of course, wear them alone also. The blush gives you a healthy-looking flush and it’s spiked with DMAE (an ingredient that helps prevent and correct the loss of skin elasticity). The bronzer, on the other hand, has vitamin C Ester (to smoothen skin and boost collagen) and the shade is great for soft contouring, too!

Look at me so happy that someone is doing my hair! Haha! After playing around with the products, we got to do a fun shoot also.

I don’t have a copy of my photo from the event yet, so I took a selfie using the products. See what it looks like on me (and check out more smudges) after the jump! Continue reading

Korea Beauty Diaries: Day 2

On my first day in Korea, I got a little too excited. In my head, everyone walked around the streets of Seoul looking like a K-Pop star, so naturally, I wanted to look like one also. I primped like crazy, got my hair curled (read about that here), and happily piled on my makeup—falsies included.

I really thought (or rather, hoped) that I'd see more gals dolled up like this.

Because I thought I’d see more eye candy like this…

...I got all dolled up like this! I actually swiped on a bright pink lippy, too! Just didn't get to retouch yet since I was still snacking.

My makeup wasn’t even that dramatic, but as I walked around the different parts of Seoul, I realized that K-Pop makeup wasn’t the way real women in Korea put on their faces. So I continued people watching and finally mastered the K-way of doing it (and even got a approached a few times on the train because of it). Find out what I discovered about their techniques after the jump!
