I have a lot of products that I’m testing out this month…and it’s driving me crazy! Because I don’t know where to start, I thought I’d show you what’s on my lineup. This way, you can leave a comment and decide which ones you want me to review first. The (beauty) power is yours!
First up: L’Oréal La Palette Nude in Rose and Beige (P800 each) and Color Riche Lipsticks (P400 each).
I also have a moisturizer and eye cream from French brand, Nuxe.
My fave skincare brand! I also have to test the rest of the Perricone MD No Makeup Makeup line, but I already reviewed the foundation here and here.
After reviewing several colors from the Kylie Lip Kit line (read it here), I knew I had to get my very own tube from Ms. Jenner. After all, it’s the hottest beauty buy all over the world now!
It’s here! I ordered mine from @duckfaceph on Instagram.
She came highly recommended by fellow lipstick addict and Cosmo.ph’s resident beauty girl, Retty. I usually prefer to buy from the source, but given the frenzy, I decided to just order from a local reseller.
The infamous box with her trademark lip drips. I was so excited to see what’s inside!
The box flips open at the top and her official website is stamped on the flap.
And voilà! A postcard from King Kylie with a note on the back that says…
Love it! And I loved getting a peek at her handwriting, too.
So now that I’ve literally shown you my unboxing, can you guess what I ordered? There’s a clue in the previous sentence I just typed! Hehe! And there was something pretty controversial about its packaging, too. Find out what it is (and see if I got a bum order) after the jump! Continue reading →
Looking for a peachy-nude lipstick? I found a really nice one for you!
The shade’s perfect for laidback days and lazy weekends.
I’m not really into nudes, so this lippie surprised me. I had an early morning call time, so my usual bold lipsticks were a bit too much at 8 a.m. Happily, this shade didn’t make me look too washed out and the peachy shade helped me look more fresh and carefree.
A few weeks ago, there was a crazy article on my feed about how EOS lip balms were causing all sorts of allergies (read about it here and here). The hot topic got me and Cosmo’s resident beauty girl, Retty Contreras, talking about our lip balm issues. And guess what? She told me that the EOS thing actually happened to her! Fortunately, she was able to cure her skin dilemma with the help of her derma + an OTC hydrocortisone cream.
It’s endorsed by Hollywood celebs, but better to proceed when caution if you have sensitive skin. Image via instagram.com/eosproducts.
Phew! So after the shock of the EOS scandal wore off, our convo switched to all the fab lipstick colors she was wearing on IG (follow her via @rettyacon). Other women inspire me to be braver about my lippie shades, so I asked if she’d share her top picks on the blog—and she agreed! Yay! Check them out below:
Retty says: “I wanted to see what the hype was about Tom Ford lippies. Aside from the pretty packaging, the formulation is really something I’ve never seen for. Also, I’m not sure why, but my lips look bigger when I use it. Lols.”
Are you loving Retty’s picks so far? You have to see the last one—it’s from MAC’s new retro matte line and the bloody red shade looks uh-ma-zing. Continue reading →
Any mineral makeup lovers out there? I think you guys might like this!
The limited edition Jane Iredale Eye Shadow Kit in Getaway, P2,450. Such a chic, gold palette!
What I like about this is that it has all the basic shades you need to go from day to night. It’s a good size for travel (or for tossing in your daily makeup kit) and it’s not heavy either. I like to do my makeup on-the-go sometimes, so that’s a plus!
Swatched! Most of the colors are shimmery, but I’m glad they included a matte shade for your crease.
I was impressed by how pigmented everything was and that the nude shades popped on my lids (nice for brightening up the eye area). If you’re an eyeshadow newbie, you’ll like how blendable they are since that makes it a lot easier to erase mistakes. I didn’t need to use a base for the nude shades, but you will definitely need to use one if you apply the black shadow. Otherwise, it will end up smudging all over your lower lashline after about an hour. For those who are curious, here are the names of the shades:
Fresh Air (a shimmery pearl)
Silence (a shimmery golden peach)
Footprints (matte taupe)
Tea on the Porch (a shimmery copper gold)
Starry Night (a shimmery black).
But wait—there’s more from Jane Ireadale’s 2015 collection! Check out the gel liner and lip stain (it’s great for the #MLBB trend) after the jump! Continue reading →
