Review: Perricone MD “No Makeup” Makeup Line

I am obsessed with everything from Perricone MD. Their skincare delivers fantastic results (even though it may not smell so good—read about it here), and now, their “no makeup” makeup line is becoming something I constantly use.

These have earned a spot on my vanity table and in my travel kit!

My ultimate favorite will always be Perricone MD’s No Foundation Serum (find out why here!). If you’re just starting out and want to invest, this one’s a must. But if you’re already hooked and want to explore more from the line, here’s what I have to say about these three products.  Continue reading

I have a lot of products that I’m testing out this month…and it’s driving me crazy! Because I don’t know where to start, I thought I’d show you what’s on my lineup. This way, you can leave a comment and decide which ones you want me to review first. The (beauty) power is yours!

My fave skincare brand! I also have to test the rest of the Perricone MD No Makeup Makeup line, but I already reviewed the foundation here and here.

Review: Perricone MD Skincare (Part 2)

I was starting to panic because my skin was beginning to sag. More than wrinkles, I think it’s sagging that I’m afraid of (I feel like droopy skin makes you look a lot older). So if that’s one of your skin concerns right now, then you should definitely give these skin goodies from Perricone MD a try.

Here's what's part of my current skinroutine! It's simple, but it works.

The major players in my current skin routine! They’re definite must-haves for girls in their early to mid-thirties.

I use the Perricone Neuropeptide Face Activator (P4,850) twice a day. It’s actually my least favorite because it smells kinda fishy. It was quite unusual, so I even dropped by the counter to ask if the smell was normal. When the salesgirls said it was, I sucked it up and continued using it. Good thing, too, because I noticed that it made the night cream a lot more effective. I just dab it over my skin with a cotton square and quickly apply the cream after to camouflage the scent.

Ugh, why do you have to be so stinky? This serum has DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol), a powerful anti-inflammatory that helps tighten muscles.

This serum has DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol), a powerful anti-inflammatory that helps prevent and correct elasticity loss. It’s pretty expensive, so I’m relieved it works!

If I’m running errands or just staying at home, I use the the Perricone MD Face Finishing Moisturizer Tint (P3,450) next. At night, I wash my face again, apply the face activator, and follow it up with the Perricone MD Neuropeptide Night Cream instead. It’s been such a game changer for me (as in, it’s better than La Mer!) and I’ll tell you more about it after the jump!  Continue reading

Review: Perricone MD No Makeup Skincare (Part 1)

I got an exclusive peek at the Perricone MD No Makeup Skincare line!

Perricone's European Training Manager, Emina, dished on what makes this line special and how we can play artist.

I haven’t had this much fun at a beauty event in a while—probably because we were talking about makeup that’s actually good for your skin. I’ve been a fan of Perricone since my Cosmo days, so I knew these products would be good. Let’s take a closer look at them, shall we?

First up: The Perricone MD No Foundation Foundation Serum, P2,750.

First up: The Perricone MD No Foundation Foundation Serum, P2,750. I like that it comes with a dropper for mess-free application.

This treatment foundation has a matte, velvety finish and it’s formulated with Neuropeptides (molecules that help boost suppleness and firmness of your skin). “It’s almost like an Instagram filter,” explains Emina. It only comes in one shade, but it can adjust to your skintone—just like BB creams.

Next is the Perricone No Bronzer Bronzer and No Blush Blush, P1,750 each.

Up next: the Perricone No Bronzer Bronzer and No Blush Blush, P1,750 each.

I love that you can mix these two together to create new shades for your cheeks. You can, of course, wear them alone also. The blush gives you a healthy-looking flush and it’s spiked with DMAE (an ingredient that helps prevent and correct the loss of skin elasticity). The bronzer, on the other hand, has vitamin C Ester (to smoothen skin and boost collagen) and the shade is great for soft contouring, too!

Look at me so happy that someone is doing my hair! Haha! After playing around with the products, we got to do a fun shoot also.

I don’t have a copy of my photo from the event yet, so I took a selfie using the products. See what it looks like on me (and check out more smudges) after the jump! Continue reading
