Remember my US Beauty Haul video?

Well, I finally tried the Urban Decay x Gwen Stefani Lipstick in Spiderweb, US$18! As I mentioned in the video, I got it because I wanted to cop Gwen’s signature, vivid red pout.

Yup, that's the color I'm looking for! Her signature red.

Yup, that’s the color I’m looking for! Her signature red!

I didn’t get to see it in person, so I was super hoping that I made the right choice and that it’ll look great on my skintone.

Saw this on Mariel's IG and the shades (listed in the photo's comments) are so pretty! Want, want, want!

I actually posted about lusting for Gwen’s lippie collection here. So I did a lot of IG stalking and debated between getting Spiderweb and 714.

Obviously, you know I went with this choice.

But the real question now is, did it give me the va-va-voom red that I’m looking for? Find out after the jump! Continue reading

Sparkle TV: My US Beauty Haul!

When you see makeup or skincare products that aren’t available locally, what do you do? Do you purchase from resellers, order online and risk having them shipped, or ask someone who’s traveling to oh-so-kindly buy it for you? Me? I prefer to do the latter. Watch and see what I shopped for!

If you guys see anything you like or want me to review any of these goodies on the blog, leave me a comment! And don’t forget to subscribe (www.bit.ly/SparkleSubscribe) to send me some love!

Did you see me panic at the 1:13 mark when I thought they sent me the wrong product? LOL! ♥

Review: Tarte Cheek Stain

I’ve been using this practically every day, so obviously, it’s beauty  l-o-v-e.

Tarte Cheek Stain in Flush, SGD$49 (about P1,700).

I finally bought this at Sephora Singapore after lusting for it for years (since 2014, guys—that post here). The shade actually looks super dark on the Sephora website (click here to see it), so just use my photos as a reference. It’s more accurate!

See that jelly-like texture? It will give you the perfect, natural-looking flush you're looking for.

See that jelly-like texture? It will give you the perfect, natural-looking flush you’re looking for.

I love that you can apply it straight to your cheek (no brush needed!) and just blend away with your fingers. It’s buildable and the shade really will look good on all complexions. Though it says that it can last up to 12 hours, I would say 6 to 8 hours is more accurate. But even if the color fades, you’ll still look fresh by the time you get home. If I know I’m going to have a long day ahead, I dust this Shiseido blush over it to boost its lasting power.

If you want to see what it looks like on me, watch my video here! Oh, and don’t worry! If you want to buy this, you can find it on Calyxta.com. It’s about P200 more, but still worth it! ♥

Sephora Is Finally In Manila!!!

Well, kinda…

Sure, there are limited brands available. And sure, there may be customs concerns since the products are shipping from Singapore. But it’s still pretty exciting, isn’t it? Especially because I want…

Happy New Year (And My Latest Haul)

It’s 2016, my sparkly loves!!! What did you do for New Year’s Eve? I hope you had a blast! Me? I spent it in Singapore with my family, which means that I got to buy a little makeup! Yay!

My newest beauty loot and my new 2016 planner!!

My latest beauty loot and my 2016 planner are ready to take on the new year!!

I was actually super excited to visit SG because they have Sephora stores over there, which is basically the mothership of beauty addicts.

I may have hyperventilated when I saw those iconic black and white stripes.

The Sephora store at Ion Mall along Orchard Road. Full disclosure: I may have hyperventilated when I saw those iconic black and white stripes.

I totally had fun exploring all the brands that weren’t available in my country like Marc Jacobs, Tarte, and Urban Decay. I could finally touch and swatch everything!

Ugh, how gorgeous is the UD Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette?

Like this gorgeous is the Urban Decay Gwen Stefani Eyeshadow Palette! Was seriously tempted to get this, but UD shadows always end up smearing all over my lower lids :(

Surprisingly, I didn’t really buy anything. All the stuff I really wanted (like the Light of the Party Collector’s Makeup Case from Tarte) was out of stock because of the Christmas rush. So I just ended up getting this…

Smith's Strawberry Lip Balm, around SGD$15 to 20. I forgot the exact price!

I remember feeling that it was kinda expensive for a balm, but I really wanted to try this version of the Rosebud Salve because I’m not a big fan of tin packaging or rose-scented products. Come back tomorrow for my full review for #GetLippieTuesday!

I bought one more thing from Sephora (I’ve been lusting for it for years!) and did a SM Watsons haul also! Check out what I bought after the jump! Continue reading
