Perfect for recharging over the weekend! The Juice Barista Infused Agua, P100 for 250ml.

I’ve been saying that I want to be healthier this year, so I think the Universe heard me! But really, this was such a happy treat because I always look for fun ways to stay hydrated (find out why here).

Can you read what's in the infused agua? Each bottle contains a mixture of fruit. veggies, lemon or lime, herbs, spices, and an edible flower.

I couldn’t really see the edible blossoms—but I liked that! I don’t know, flowers in food (and drinks) really freak me out. But my personal feelings about that aside, I think P100 for all the fruits infused in the bottle isn’t bad—especially if you think about all the vitamins and antioxidants you’re getting.

You can even "re-use" the fruit and add more water, so you get more bang for your buck.

All you have to do is add more water when you’re half-way through the bottle and leave it for 1-2 hours at room temp. You loose a little more flavor whenever you do this, but it’s still worth doing!

Taste test time! Which one do you think I liked better?

The Best Green Juice Recipe For Glowing Skin

I promised you my green juice recipe, didn’t I?

Bagong gising and juicing in my PJs! Haha!

Bagong gising and juicing in my PJs! Haha! It’s best to drink this first thing in the morning and on an empty stomach.

When I went vegetarian for a few months, my body went haywire—and my poor hair, nails, and skin suffered. I learned everyone’s body is different and that I don’t have to go to such extremes for my health. I can just exercise more and add more greens to my diet…like this:

These are the ingredients I use for a healthier bod and a glowing complexion. My family uses Ozein to clean our veggies from pesticides, but a good ol’ vinegar soak will work, too.

It also helps if you chop everything up, so it's easier on your blender or juicer.

Ta-daaa! It's yummy—I promise. It also helps if you put your green juice in a pretty jar, so you can add a little more pleasure to your drink.

And ta-daaa! You’ve got yourself some green juice! It’s yummy—really!! Btw, putting your drink in a pretty jar also helps make the juicing experience a lot more fun!

The traffic was so bad and got there a bit late. Did this in under 20 minutes! Just a quick stripe initially, but I saw a sparkly bottle of polish. Of course, I had to add it!

Wondering what else will be going on? Here’s a quick Q&A:

Q: What’s happening at the workshop?
A: We’re breaking it down into three parts:

  • Beauty Talk 1: I’ll talk about the latest nail trends and share nifty nail tricks—like how to find the best nail shape for your fingers.
  • Beauty Talk 2: The bubbly Monica Maceda, president of I Do Nails, will share her nail care tips and give you the inside scoop on how to perfect your at-home mani.
  • Beauty Talk 3: Macy Alcaraz, the creative editor behind Polished! The Nail Art Book, will teach basic nail art techniques like dotting, and gradients. She and I will also help you create cool holiday nail art! Snowman nails, anyone?

Q: What’s included in the workshop fee?
A: Plenty! Each participant gets a customized nail art kit, which I personally prepared. It includes a crystal dotting tool, striping tape, several nail charms, and much more! Oh, and we’re also giving you TWO mini nail lacquers from OPI! Fab, right? OPI is also sponsoring the polish we’ll be using during the workshop, so you’ll get to play around with all the colors! Yay!

Q: It’s scheduled during lunch time. What if I get hungry?
A: Yummy snacks by Babycakes by Jo Cabuay will be served and we’ll also have refreshing juices from The Juice Barista. Don’t worry—your tummies will be happy.

Q: What exactly are you doing for Typhoon Yolanda?
A: For every participant who joins, I’ll be donating P500 for the victims of Typhoon Yolanda via Gawad Kalinga. You’re also welcome to bring donations in kind during the Sparkle Session—I’ll take care of dropping them off at the proper centers for you.

Q: This sounds great! Where do I sign up?
A: Click here to fill up the registration form and reserve your slot. I’ll send you a confirmation email within the day and once the payment has been made via PayPal/BDO/BPI, you’re in! Just make sure to send me a copy of your deposit slip.

That’s it! Easy, right? If you have more questions, feel free to email me at nicole@beautyandsparkle.com. I really, really want YOU to be there for my first Sparkle Session workshop.
