I know I’ve been MIA lately. Can I make it up to you?
Join me on Friday, March 10, at Rustan’s Shangrila for the L’Occitane Reine Blanche Skincare Workshop!
They gave me a plus one, so I get to take one of my lucky readers with me! Basically, we’ll just geek out over the products and learn lots of fresh techniques on how to keep our skin bright and glowing. Plus, you can grill me about more beauty tips if you want! Hehe!
Shopping at the L’Occitane store at BGC Central! This was the first time I actually got to try the Reine Blanche line back in 2015 (read more about my faves from this French brand here and here).
If you want to join, just leave a comment on my Instagram page (click here!). I’ll be announcing the winner on Thursday morning, so make sure you join ASAP! ♥
Did I tell you that I had a mini hosting gig for Watsons?
That’s (teeny-tiny) me on stage facilitating a fun, little skincare trivia game for the #WatsonsGreatWhiteSale event.
The Watsons team asked me to think of beauty tidbits and questions to ask the guests. The point was to get them to share all of their whitening tips with everyone, because when it comes to skincare, there’s always something new to learn!
One of the questions I asked: Name some of the best whitening ingredients you should look for.
What are your answers? Mine are niacinamide, vitamin C, lycopene, glutathione, and papaya. There are more of course, but the point here is to highlight the importance of knowing what ingredients are in your products. You really have to read the label and know what you’re getting before you buy—especially when it comes to skin whitening!
Now let’s talk about the juicy parts of skin whitening—problem areas like your armpits!
Yes, guys. There’s really an IG account dedicated to reposting fabulous-looking, Pinay armpits (also known as kili-kili). I am quite kili-kili conscious, so I have a few fabulous tips I can share on how you can help whiten them. In fact, the technique I use is also applicable to your neck, knees, and elbows also!
Leaders Derma Soul Bright Mask with Acai Berry, P78.
It’s formulated with one of nature’s most powerful anti-oxidantS (acai berry) to help fight the signs of aging. And because it’s a brightening mask, it’s also supposed to help lighten and clears up spots and blemishes with the help of niacinamide.
Here’s a closer look at the sheet. Basically, it says it’s supposed to help get rid of your skin troubles.
And boy oh boy, did I have ’em! My skin looked super tired because of all the traveling and holiday parties I hit last month. Hehe! That’s why I knew I needed to use this mask to help give my complexion a major glow boost.
No English translation here, but I did see the numbers 15 to 20. I’m guessing that’s the number of minutes you have to leave the mask on.
I usually like to read directions first, but since I don’t know how to read Korean, I just decided to treat it like any other mask.
My step-by-step guide on masking and find out if it was able to help me get my glow back after the jump! Continue reading →
I have a confession to make: I’m kili-kili (armpit) conscious for many reasons. When it comes to skin darkening, I was aware of the usual culprits when it comes to this area—like shaving, waxing, hormones, and deodorant formulas. But here’s one cause that totally surprised me:
Sweat!!! It’s normal and even celebs deal with underarm perspiration, but it can cause skin darkening.
As far as I know, the excessive dampness can make your armpits darker in two ways: by increasing the friction in the area and by causing more bacteria build-up that can irritate your skin. Now that the it’s summer, it’s getting more and more challenging to keep this area dry. Clickity-click to find out my proposed solutions! Continue reading →
