Tried & Tested: Burt’s Bees Lip Gloss

It was love at first swipe!

On my lips: Burt's Bees Lip Gloss in Ruby Moon, P700.

On my lips: Burt’s Bees Lip Gloss in Ruby Moon, P700.

I haven’t fallen in love with a lippy in a long time, so I’m pretty stoked about this. Here’s why I’m digging it:

  • It’s 100% natural. Yay for no chemicals!
  • I was relieved that this was über moisturizing and soothing. My lips have been pretty dry and flaky lately, so I’m appreciating the nourishing Sunflower Oil in the formula.
  • The color packs a decent punch! It’s like a lip balm with a gorgeous tint and a sexy (not sticky) shine. Love, love, love!
  • Hurrah, there’s no scent! I totally appreciate this in a lip product.

The gloss leaves your pout conditioned pretty well throughout the day, but I do wish the tint lasted a bit longer (I had to retouch after two hours). Once the color fades, you’ll be left with glittery flecks over your lips—they’re tiny though and barely noticeable, so it’s actually kinda fun to catch it sparkling under the light. Haha, but that’s probably just me.
