I got an early Valentine’s surprise from L’Occitane!
This cute flower basket also came with the latest fragrance collection that’s hitting their boutiques this February. Take a look:
I actually used to buy this very fragrance in its solid perfume form. I don’t know if that’s still available, but check this one out:
You just dab it over your pulse points and the gel texture melts into your skin. I like this because it’s easy to toss in your bag, so you can refresh your scent throughout the day. When you open it, there’s a spout that looks just like your regular lip gloss for easy application.
Let’s talk about the EDT first. The fragrance is a mix of lemon, blackcurrant, cherry blossoms, rose, and a musky wood. On my body chemistry, it initially smelled like mandarin oranges. I got a bit dizzy at first since the scent is pretty strong (really, one spritz is all you need). After a few minutes though, the notes settled and I began to appreciate the subtle whiffs of blackcurrant and cherry blossoms. If you like the smell of fresh spring, then this scent is for you!
Subtle scents are really more my thing, so I enjoyed the L’Occitane Cherry Blossoms Shower Milk the most. The fruity-floral scent doesn’t overpower and it really just snuggles into your skin. The colder weather has left my skin feeling drier than usual, so I like that it’s gentle and that it doesn’t leave my arms with that squeaky-clean feeling post-shower. It’s definitely a luxe bath treat that’s perfect for relaxing after a long day’s work!
If there are any guys reading this, I suggest that you get the gel perfume and the shower milk for your girl (or mom, aww!). But wait a minute—if you’re currently single, you can also get this as a V-day treat for yourself or your BFF. Pffft, you don’t need a guy to get you pretty pressies! *wink* Happy shopping, ladies! ♥
